BEGINNER WHEEL THROWING COURSE

MAKE, REFINE, GLAZE

If you've always wanted to have a go on the wheel but not found the time or place - this is your chance.

Over the six sessions you will learn to make a cylinder, bowl or something 'unique' before decorating and glazing your work - ready for collection.

Before you book please read our T&C's

DISCOVER

WEEK 1

After a health and safety briefing you will be shown how the basic making techniques.

​

Then it's over to you start making your first shapes.

WEEK 2-3-4

MAKE

Week 2-3-4 is all about practice and making. You will have your own dedicated equipment to maximise your making time.

 

At the end of this session you will have at least four items for you to develop further.

TRIMMING

WEEK 5

Once your items are 'leather hard' you will be able to trim the base of your pots and add surface decoration or handles if you wish, and refine your pieces before the first 'bisque' firing.

WEEK 6

GLAZE

In the last week you will be shown the different techniques of glazing and try it out for yourself. Your final works will be fired and ready for collection in a few weeks times.
